Tatted Bangle in brown

My brown tatted bangle! Brown is my favorite colour... It took me about 6 bangles to get it correct using a needle to tat. My stitches were originally pigglywiggly all over. I've been doing all my bangles with 20 thread on a 7 needle. Seed beads are too un-uniform to use with the 7 needle, so I've used 6/0 beads and have had no problem. I gave up on the original bangle pattern I was trying to do because of the seed bead problem... until I can figure out a solution!

Tatted brooch from Tat Days 2012

I am horrible about keeping up on this blog.... I'm always on facebook instead! I do like to see and read other blogs about tatting though. And that was my motivation for posting today. This brooch was from my friday morning class at Tat Days 2012 and I made a yoyo to mount it on and attach my pin back to!

Needle Tatting Bangle Bracelet

Thought I would try tatting a Bangle bracelet. The pattern is from http://victats.blogspot.com/2009/08/summer-fun.html but as I am using a needle instead of a shuttle, I had to look here http://tatsaway.blogspot.com/2009/09/wrap-stitch-round-plastic-ring-with.html . I discovered the 1st half of the ds in Step3 does NOT work. Ignore the Step1 picture here. Look at the first portion of the Step2 picture instead.

Facebook vs Blog

I spend more time on Facebook than I do here... I spend several hours already this morning trying to find a free copy of the Mary Konior "Good Two Shoes". Id like to do a bonnet and bootie set for my son's teacher who is expecting. I sure do get tired of talking to myself...

HP C8180 printer bad electrolytic capacitors

UGH. You would think that buying an expensive printer from a well known company would be recalled for defective parts with so many people having the same problem! Ive posted on the HP boards.... I found one gentleman online who talks about and has done the repair - Ray Carlsen. I finally found a local shop in Brandon, Florida - Brandon Business Machines, that is attempting the repair on the C8180 at their shop. Its very frustrating... I dont feel I can list any of my items for sale on Etsy until I have a working printer!
